Character Brief:
powers
Usage of 'power words', loosely termed in his family as a 'loremaster', where Felix speaks a certain word as a focus to channel arcane energies into a fixed outcome. While channeling Felix must stand still for a few seconds depending on how powerful he wishes the word to be, and he is considered to be blind until the energy of the word is loosed.
At the moment he has mastered three 'words' – 'heal', 'sleep', and 'pain'. His 'heal' can only fix up to cuts and broken limbs, not any wounds that are life-threatening; his 'sleep' causes a person to sleep – or if the person is of strong will, to feel drowsy; and with 'pain' he causes the feeling of pain similar to that of a migraine in a chosen target. Speaking and channeling the words tires Felix quickly, and as so he can only use a few a day before pushing himself.
history
Felix is 24 years old, and he lives in an apartment above his small shop. He fixes, crafts, and sells antique clocks and watches. In his spare time he indiscriminately collects books, which fill up a large room in his apartment.
Felix's family has always known that one of their scions will be born a Seal, and have philosophically treated it with as much importance as the color of their children's eyes. Born in Milan, Felix received the same training as any member of his family, but moved to Rome to apprentice himself to an uncle to learn his trade so as to keep his hands busy until called. After his uncle passed away, Felix inherited the apartment and the shop, along with an extremely fat orange tabby called Cat.
After examining books and spending much time contemplating about his role in life and people, while working with clocks, Felix has decided that God does not exist, and therefore is a firm atheist.
personality
Felix appears to be reserved, but good-natured, always with a ready, faint smile and a warm greeting. Felix dislikes technology, feeling that it has somehow contributed to a human lack of connection with other less fortunate people and nature, and attempts to use as little of it as possible. He is a creature of routine, and loves to visit the various cafes in Rome. He is addicted to coffee. He very much dislikes the idea of suffering, and would wish for it to happen to as few people as possible.
